This organic lightly oxidized Jade Oolong tea has a smooth golden green infusion enjoyed by Oolong tea lovers. Its flowery aroma, brisk flavor, smooth body and fruity finish make this one of our favorite Oolong. Always fresh, this is one of customer favorites. The prime lots of this tea are selected each spring and winter for us by our long-term grower in Huang Shan, Jade Oolong one of our consistent favorites from China. Jade Oolong tea almost green in appearance with large, hand-rolled leaves. Once infused, these unfurl to release this tea's delicate notes, exquisite flavor and enchanting fragrance. Brewed color: Yellow-gold. Flavor: flowery aroma, brisk flavor, ever so slightly sweet. Number of infusions: 2-3 teaspoons in 4-6 ounces of water (depends on your taste). Origin: Huang Shan, China. Classification: Organic Jade Oolong, a light-roasted Oolong. Package Size: 75 grams (2.65 ounces). Picking Method: Vacuum packaging. INFORMATION: Oolong means semi-fermented. Oolongs are processed much like black teas, but are given a shorter withering time, a light roll, and allowed to ferment only until the edges of the leaf start to turn brown. The tea is then fired arresting the fermentation process and capturing the character associated with Oolong tea. A slight variance in any of these gives unique aroma, flavor, color and finish. This oolong is considered a long-fired Oolong taking on bake notes with a rich amber liquid. For frequent tea drinkers, it is suggested that you store tea in two airtight containers; one big and one small. When the small one is consumed, transfer tea from the big container to the small one. This method is designed to avoid frequent contact with the air, which may spoil the tea.
